Awards Calculation

Scoring Math: Total Distance = (10 Miles × Chip Laps) + (single 1 Mile Small Loop × Popsicle Sticks)
 

Two participants who run the same distance will be ordered by faster times. For example, if two people complete 50 miles in the 12 hour race, and Sally finishes at 5:53pm and Sue finishes at 5:58pm, Sally is #1 and Sue is #2 in the final results. Only in the case of photo finishes will there be a tie, and the two can share any award. 
 

Finisher Awards will be distributed to ALL runners as they cross the finish line. 

SOLO 12 Hour Runners will receive custom belt buckle 

RELAY & SOLO 6 Hour Runners will receive finisher medals
 

Awards Categories:

1. SOLO: 

   1. Top 3 Male/Female/Binary Overall - TBD 

   2. Top 3 Male/Female/Binary Age Group - Custom age group awards. Runners who placed in the Top 3 Overall will not be eligible for Age Group Awards.  

      • Youth 14 - 17 

      • Open 18 - 39 

      • Masters 40 - 59 

      • Grand Masters 60 +

 

1. RELAY:

   1.  Top 3 Overall Teams (Male/Female/Mixed) - Batons mounted on plaques. (The WHOLE team must meet the age & gender requirement of the category). Each Team Member will receive ribbons. 

      • Youth 14 - 17

      • Open 18 - 39

      • Masters 40 +

 

1. "The Gambling Goose" Award: For the Solo Runner who attempted a 10-mile loop closest to the 6pm cutoff and barely made it back in time to switch to the short loop.
